Frequently Asked Questions

We’re Here to Help

WHAT IS GOING ON?

We're putting in ALL NEW machines. The new washers are so advanced that we're one of the first stores in the US to have them.

We're also doing a serious deep cleaning. Every corner of the building is being pressure washed and repainted. That's why you see all the action at The Mat and why it's been closed.

What does "app based" laundry mean?

There will be NO coins. You can pay directly with bills or you can use your phone to pay.

An app on your phone will show you:

-Which machines are open before you drive to the store.

-How long is left on your wash/dry cycle

-When you've earned a free wash through our loyalty program.

-Which days have cheaper pricing

-And a whole lot more...

Just picture if doing your laundry was more like shopping on Amazon with your phone.

Will Tom & Karen Still be there?

100% yes. They are the life blood of the store and everyone loves them.

Will you still have wash and dry service?

Yes, you'll still be able to drop off wash and we'll do it for you.

AND we're going to make it better.

We have a couple surprises coming that will make the experience pretty prime. We think you'll like it.

What will your hours be?

7am - 9pm every day

We heard your feedback and we're going to stay open later.

Keep telling us how to improve and we'll do it.

When will you open?

That's kind of a secret... because it's hard to predict... but October of this year...

Why did your sign say "So long and thanks for all the socks"?

Because we're being silly.

It's a Douglas Adams reference.

In the "Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy" book series earth is going to be demolished to make way for an intergallactic super highway.

The dolphins are the smartest beings on earth. When the abandon earth on their space ship, they take all the fish with them.

They leave this message for the humans:

"So long, and thanks for all the fish."

Erin and I were embarking on such a huge undertaking when we bought the family business, that we felt like we wanted to start fresh.

The laundromat is coming back, but it's taking a massive amount of work and love.

We wanted to pay tribute to:

-My grandparents Harold and Pearl Sanborn

-My aunt and uncle, Cris and Dave Stallings

-My parents Sherry and Monty Parker.

They all poured their hearts into this place. It's just a heartfelt farewell and passing of the torch.

So long and thanks for all the socks.

Thanks for all the love. Thanks for all the memories.
